This was a repair of a crawl space. As you can see from the photos, this is a smaller excavation than the typical foundations. Although repair work had been done not so long ago, the problems resurfaced.
Rehabilitation and protection to prevent water infiltration
Installing a waterproofing membrane as a result of repairs using high-strength concrete. Once the cracks were repaired and waterproofing was done, the land was developed to keep the water away from the foundation.
Bigger-than-expected work
Since the client had already paid for the
repair of the foundation,
he believed that our intervention would be minimal. On the contrary, poorly done work can lengthen the process, as errors must be corrected before intervening at the source.
This is proof that you have to choose a contractor with his licenses and above all competent not to have to spend twice instead of one. Despite this customer’s disappointment, the end was happy, as the problem was solved for good.
