Repairing a crack in Ottawa, ON

Inspection of the French drain

This property had problems with infiltration at the level of its foundation. Prior to any intervention on the crack responsible for the problem, a camera inspection of the drainage system was conducted to see the general condition. Since the French drain appeared to be in good condition and functional, the customer decided to limit himself to repairing and waterproofing the section originally planned.

Passive crack

A medium-sized crack was the cause. It was a passive crack that was not moving. We therefore concluded after the evaluation that a refill with mechanical anchors and concrete would be the ideal intervention.

Following the repair, the Blueskin and Plato membranes were installed to properly waterproof this section of the foundation.
